Pastors Bob and Rhonda Obert founded the church in 1987, it was then known as Hosanna Christian Fellowship. After a number of years, the church became Vineyard Scotts Valley after joining the Vineyard Community of Churches, keeping with the Vineyard vision and values; including but not limited to hands-on prayer, healing ministry, and evangelism. The church had a strong and faithful focus not only on a hands-on prayer ministry but also on homeless outreach and ministering to those in need in our community and around the globe.
In 2018, Bob and Rhonda retired, passing the torch to Pastor Emmet and Stacy Blue, who continue to bring God’s love and healing to all who are inside and outside the church’s doors.
Our Kingdom Vision here at The Scotts Valley Vineyard is to be . . .
A Worshipping Community
We believe that worship must be at the heart of all we do as a church. True worship is to honor God as revealed to us in Jesus Christ- not only in our music but in our words, actions, and attitudes.
A Healing Community
We believe that everyone needs the forgiveness and healing that come from God. As people of God, we are given power and authority from Jesus to continue His work on Earth.
An Equipping Community
We believe all who follow Jesus are called to continue His ministry. Under the direction of the Holy Spirit, we teach and study the Bible with an emphasis on the skills needed for daily living and effective service.
An Expanding Community
We believe Jesus died on the cross to bring all people into God’s family. As His children, it’s our privilege to communicate this good news to our communities and our world and to convey His forgiveness and healing to all.
A Biblical Community
The Vineyard Church holds to the historical, biblical, and Christian faith as expressed in the Statement of Faith of the Association of Vineyard Churches.
